Introducing our new Dubai Hub

11th May 2016

We identified Dubai and the Middle East region as a strategic focal point from where to expand our operations in the region, which encompasses India and East Africa.

Oldendorff has expanded our Dubai office from 5 to 22 people, now led by Steven Maier. You can see the whole team from the Dubai office in the FINDER on our website. Dubai now has a full team including: Chartering, Operations, Marine Accounting, Port Operations and Administration.

We have extensive operations in the Indian Ocean area with multiple offices and see the benefit of consolidating knowledge and expertise in Dubai. We will still remain very local, with other offices in the region, and will continue to conduct our business with the same personal service.

We have had a presence in Dubai for about four years; we recently moved our office to the sprawling Dubai International Financial Centre to accommodate the extra people. The DIFC is a landmark building located in central Dubai in the shadow of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. The new office was opened and fully functional as of 19 April 2016 and the official opening party was held on 11 May 2016.

In addition to the Dubai office in the region, Oldendorff also has a joint venture company, Eships Oldendorff Logistics (EOL) headquartered in Abu Dhabi performing iron ore transhipment for industrial customers in the Middle East.
