First B-Delta Newbuilding delivered

On 26th August 2014, we took delivery of the first of nine "B-Delta" 38,700 tdw OHBS bulker newbuildings MV "Eckert Oldendorff" ex-Jinling, China, 5 days ahead of its contractual delivery date. The christening Ceremony was held together with our first 2 geared Kamsarmax newbuildings "Gerdt & Getke Oldendorff". The ceremonies were held at Jinling's new site at Yizheng.
Internally dubbed "E-class", our B-Delta newbuildings have many outstanding features, which make them ideal for our diversified Handysize trades:

- B&W main engine and fuel saving devices
- 4 x 40 tons "MacGregor" electro-hydraulic cranes with 30 m outreach
- Cranes are combinable in "master-and-slave" mode to up to 80 tons SWL
