In 2018 Oldendorff formed a partnership with Haivan Shipmanagement to establish the first transshipment facility in South Vietnam.
The floating transshipment platform LENA was modified to enable her to unload vessels up to Newcastlemax.
Being a multi-user and multi cargo facility the LENA can handle import and export operations between any size of vessel from barges to large capesize vessels.
Transshipment is carried out at the sheltered Go Gia mooring buoys, located south of Ho Chi Minh City.
The buoys can accommodate 3 vessels with maximum draft of 14.5m and maximum dwt of 150,000 mt.
On an annual basis the system can handle 4.5mio mt of cargo at rates of 15,000 – 20,000 mt/day.
