Oldendorff Joins the World Ocean Council

Oldendorff is proud to announce becoming a member of the World Ocean Council (WOC) since July 2014.

The WOC is a global organization bringing together players in the ocean business community with the vision of building and maintaining a leadership alliance to collaborate on contemporary environmental issues encompassing sustainable business and the responsible use of the world’s waterways.

This unique partnership is engaging in numerous programs aimed at improving scientific ocean research, educating the public and stakeholders about the role of responsible companies in addressing environmental concerns and effectively participating in ocean policy and planning.

Oldendorff’s signatory pledges our commitment to our environmental targets and reaffirms our stewardship practices and sustainable business policies.

With more than 40 new fuel efficient vessels expected in the next 2-3 years, Oldendorff’s Green Ship Program clearly demonstrates our dedication to tackling environmental issues and optimising overall fleet performance.

About the World Ocean Council (WOC)

The WOC is the only international, cross-sectoral alliance for private sector leadership and collaboration in “Corporate Ocean Responsibility”. Companies and associations worldwide are distinguishing themselves as leaders in ocean sustainability, stewardship and science by joining the WOC.
