Travel Manager - Contract (m/f/d)



As part of Oldendorff's dynamic, global administration department, this contract role will strengthen the Singapore travel desk team for a period of 12 months by consulting and supporting colleagues regionally with their business travel requirements. Set within the international and agile business approach of Oldendorff, your expertise will help the company to develop business by moving freely, in a cost efficient manner.

Job Description:

  • Split between three contributors, the successful candidate will be in charge of corporate travel, marine travel and group travel bookings, while simultaneously providing cost effective flight options
  • As a key objective this role entails to confidently and reliably arrange and coordinate travel, even during times with high travel restricted, such as Covid-19
  • Proactively staying informed and updated on new travel regulations and limitations to provide guidance to internal stakeholders in critical times
  • Establish airlines corporate rates
  • Negotiate and build corporate hotels, as well as serviced apartment corporate rates
  • Continuously ensuring air and accommodation cost savings are optimized
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders concerning air, hotel, serviced apartment, visas, vaccinations or land transfers arrangements and requirements
  • Ensure all Service Level of Agreements (SLA) are met
  • Set up and maintain Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) and standardized Travel Agent booking processes
  • Triage local & worldwide traveler issues, determine root-cause, define and implement solutions
  • Support and advise further development of business traveler’s service
  • Drive continuous improvement of travel programs in line with travel policy compliance
  • Assisting of travel servicing for employees with relocation requirements

Requirements and Profile:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years prior working experience in a travel agency or in a comparable environment, for example as an in-house corporate travel consultant
  • Prior marine travel experience is an added advantage
  • Must demonstrate strong problem solving and communication skills in an international, fast-pace environment
  • Possesses the ability to work independently and meticulously under pressure
  • A motivated, service-oriented and approachable individual with a can-do attitude, who enjoys working in a team and helping others
  • Shows a natural curiosity to stay up-to-date with market trends and developments
  • Willing to roll up the sleeves and add value by backing up other team members in less travel intensive times
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English
  • Any additional language is an added advantage
