This videos explains our Guyana project from the start. In January 2006, OLDENDORFF CARRIERS commenced operations under an 11-year contract with one of OLDENDORFF's long-term customers, RUSAL, via their affiliate Bauxite Company of Guyana Inc. The contract spans a 10-year period, where the operation forms a complete logistics solution facilitating barging, offshore loading and ocean transportation of around 1.5‒2.0 million tons per annum of bauxite from the bauxite mine located around 131 nautical miles up the Berbice River in Guyana.

Experience a fun trip on one of the selfpropelled selfunloading barges from the Reloader "E. Oldendorff" to the receiving jetty of Emirates Steel Industries (ESI) in Abu Dhabi. Around 2.4 million tons per annum of iron ore pellets from Brazil, Canada and Bahrain are being shipped by us in Capesize and Panamax bottoms to Abu Dhabi, where in joint venture with E-ships, we are operating a transshipment system to bring the ore to the new state-of-the-art steel mill.
